Alexa Connectivity

Facts: Newish SimpliSafe owner, I pay for the interactive (more expensive) monitoring program, the system is set up and works correctly. I have two Amazon 4th Generation Echo Dots connected and operating correctly.

Question: When I try to connect SimpliSafe to Alexa using the SimpliSafe skill I get an error message that says: "No supported Alexa devices detected with your account. Make sure you have at least one device online".

My Echo Dots are showing as online in my device settings and I am able to connect them to other third party skills (e.g., Leviton).  

Any ideas?
