How does one change the Property Name field (Android app)?

From the Android app, and in the context of the "Basic App Control" service plan, how does one update "Location Profile" information (like "Property Name")?

When I try to change the value, I get the following error alert - "Invalid Parameter: 'signature' - Reason: signature must be given and must be less tha…" but I don't see any place to add a signature.

How does one change the Property Name field?

@jchapura there are two ways to go here: 1, call SS and they will do it for you, or 2. Open the phone app, tap  on Location Profile, then Property Name. When Property Name box pops up, use your back key to erase what's there, type in new name and then tap OK.

I just tried it, changing my property name from "home" to  "home A" and then back again. No errors.

My apologies if I missed your plan in your post; yes, I do have a credit card on file and do have the interactive monitoring plan.

@captain11  Understood; no problem - thank you for trying to help. I think the Android app error is because it's wrongly assuming that a credit card "signature" must be on file and has a validation rule to enforce it. But "unmonitored" subscribers don't need the credit card and therefore don't need a "signature".

Quick question for you before I bring this to our dev team. Did you also try this action on your online account on a desktop browser? I want to isolate if this is an app only issue, or if it's a problem for your whole account.

@davey_d​ What are the steps to try to change the Property Name in a browser? (Looked but couldn't find.) Once I learn of those steps, I will try to make the change.

In Chrome on my laptop, I went to webapp.simplisafe.com and then logged in.

I went to Manage Account.

I see Protected Locations and my one and only "account #" (whose "location" value is the value I want to change).

I click on the "account #" and see "off/home/away" and then I click on "view account", and the website returns me to the Account page where Protected Locations is seen.

 

How do I navigate the website to change the Property Name value?

Hamburger menu - Monitoring

Monitored Address - Location Name (optional)

Edit value

Save

I was able to successfully change the Location Name value in the web app so the bug must be in the Android app.

@davey_d​ I was able to change the name on my Android app.  Pixel 4a, Android 12
