Multiple Users on App?

So, my wife would like to use the app to turn the system on and off just as I do.  The problem is that I don't see where to add her either on the app or on my account online.

We have tried putting my login and password into the app on her phone but it doesn't save them so she doesn't want to have to type in the email and password every time because I don't have to on mine.  I assumed that because my phone was logged in, it didn't keep the login info on her phone as a safety feature?

Anyway, I called the support number and after a long wait I got a girl who really wasn't too familiar with the system.  She fumbled around a while thinking there was a place where I could add her into the app but couldn't find it.  She finally decided it wasn't possible.  I wasn't confident in her answer since it was obvious that she really didn't know and was just guessing.

So, any ideas?

Thanks!

@ vcooley68, some things are easy, some are difficult. Luckily, this one is easy. My wife and I both have Galaxy S7 phones and use the app with no issues. here's how:

On your dashboard at the website, for monitoring it says "Who should we call prior to dispatching police, with primary and then secondary numbers.  Ours follows this format

First Name:  John and Mary
Last Name:  Brown

Primary Number: 555-555-5551 (My cell number)
Secondary"         555-555-5552 (My wife's cell number)

COPS monitoring (and Amcrest before them) have never had a problem in over six years.  Give it a try. And Simplisafe has never cried foul.

I already have her as a secondary.  It's the app she doesn't have an account for.

@vcooley68, neither does my wife. She just signs in on mine. Done. Works fine.Sorry, but what am I missing?

Her phone doesn't keep the login information so she has to manually type in my login info every time.  We assumed(and the guessing support agent) both assumed this was because that account stays logged in on my phone.

Multiple logins:
I am logged into two different cell phones with my i.d..
For your wife, check that her browser accepts cookies.  If the browser does not accept cookies, I have found the app will not stay logged in.

What about the two step authentication.  If she signs in on her phone into my account, the verification code goes to ME which does her no good.  Thank you in advance.

The question here is about safety. If my wife needs to see who is at the door it is right that she should be able to. Because she can’t get logged in because the 2-step authentication goes to my phone it means she doesn’t have full access all the time which seems unsafe.

@attykoch and @3373inLine,

You can set up multiple contacts for Multi-Factor Authentication. In the SimpliSafe app, navigate to Menu > Manage Account > Multi-Factor Authentication.

Then, when logging in, after you enter your email/username and password, you can select which phone number will receive the confirmation text.

@davey_d Yep I’m aware of that. Unfortunately that doesn’t work very well if my wife is a near me. Or if I’m out of town. She has to guess as to why simpliSafe is notifying her, which is daunting and not helpful.

@davey_d yep I’m aware of that. However it is not useful when I am out of town or not nearby. She has to guess as to why SimpliSafe is notifying her, which is daunting and not helpful. I feel like SimpliSafe is just going about the easiest route and it’s not thinking about users and that there are often more than one adult in a house that would likely want to receive notifications and see what is happening on the camera.

@3373inLine not quite sure what you mean here.

Once your wife is logged into the SimpliSafe app on her own phone, she would be able to enable Push Notifications, which will have detailed info on what each event is.

So she would have access on her on phone, and you'll have access on yours. You would just be logging in under the same username and password.
