new base unit searches but sees no WIFI units

Spent more than an hour on the phone with support. The base unit continuously searches for wifi networks but doesn't see any. Not only is my network not visible, no one else's is either. And there are a number within range. Reset everything, made no difference. Any ideas or should i just give up on SimpliSafe?

@rmilligan24 beubg a customer of Simplisafe for going on 10 years, two system generations and recommending and placing 30+ systems (including 2 brother in laws, daughter, neices, neighbors, coworkers, friends, their kids etc etc) I think you know what my answer is going to be. No excuses to SS for probably shipping you a bad base. Won't be the first time, and unfortunately, won't be the last.  Suggest you call bck and ask for a replacement base to ship.  Note you will no doubt have to reload the sensors but the process is pretty easy.  I would defintiely give SS another chance.
