New customer - Apple Watch app not working

I just set up my new SimpliSafe system and  it was easy. I use the app on my iPhone no problem and saw they also have an Apple Watch app. I installed it but when it starts it just says “refreshing” and never gets further. I read some other questions from a long time ago and tried opening the app on my phone as well as deleting and reinstalling the app on my watch. Nothing works. Any help?

@davey_d​ Just here to report I have the same issue. Have had my system for a year, installed and reinstalled the app countless times and nothing works. It would be great if it could work
