New Fire Safety Legislation in Scotland

Hi I live in Scotland and have a SimpliSafe system which has been installed for over 2 years now and I am happy with it.
I have smoke detectors fitted, but the new legislation in Scotland requires me to have linked Heat and Smoke detectors installed early 2022.
The SimpliSafe smoke detectors I have are obviously compliant but without a Heat detector which also needs to be linked I am not compliant.
Does SimpliSafe intend on adding a Heat detector to its products or do I have to look elsewhere for a separate system?

Thanks

Are you sure about this? Here in the US the smoke detectors are not linked and it's something we've been asking about for a while now. If the smoke detectors sold in the UK are linked and the ones sold in the US are not I'm going to be really irritated.

@Davey,

Please confirm whether the units solid in the UK are linked or not. And if they are linked, why aren't the units sold in the US linked?

Hi, yes I can confirm the smoke detectors are linked to the security system. The problem we have is that the new legislation requires heat detectors in the kitchen area as well as smoke detectors in common hall/passageways.

Peter.... I have asked about this since it first was announced nearly 2 years ago... my recent questions have went unanswered on social media.
My previous replies were we will pass it to our team to look into... I have told them multiple times there going to miss sales on entire country re smoke sales and equally annoy those who have them.

Zero heat detector.  At one point I was told the freeze detector had a higher limit however I had to point out it didn't check every second ! And wouldn't do what needed.

As far as I know they DO link (smokes) as set off the sirens and I have 3 of these (2 internal) but ... without the heat one for kitchen it's all pointless and as you can see my frustration

That is not typically what is meant when a vendor says their smoke detectors are "linked", at least in the US. Here it means that if one smoke alarm goes off, they all go off. With SImpliSafe in the US at least, the one smoke alarm goes off but the rest do not. Yes, it alerts your system but if you're on the far end of the house from the fire and base station then the smoke alarm in your room doesn't go off if there's a fire somewhere else in the house.

It may mean something else in the UK.
