No Sound From Base Speaker

I just installed my SimpliSafe alarm yesterday, and there is no sound coming from the base. Everything is hooked up correctly and the lights are on the base, but I think there's something wrong with the speaker. Has anyone else had this  issue?

yes been having the same problem.  haven't had a chance to follow up with simplisafe

You can adjust your speaker's volume via the Keypad menu. However, if your Base Station still won't produce sound, please give us a call at 1-800-297-1605!

Thank you for choosing SimpliSafe! I understand your base station is not making any noises. I'll be glad to help however I can!

Please make sure your voice prompts, door chimes and etc volumes are up. Either via the Keypad (MENU- PIN - SYSTEM SETTINGS) or if you have the original SimpliSafe System (ADJUST SETTINGS - GENERAL SETTINGS) if the settings are on and on high follow these troubleshooting steps:Power cycle the Base Station.

   Unplug power supply from the Base Station
   Open the battery compartment with a Phillips head screwdriver.
   Remove a battery
   Put the battery back in.
   Close and secure the battery compartment
   Plug the power supply back in
   Confirm the Base starts back up with sounds and lights

I had this same issue on first setup today. The speech prompts from the base station were working fine, then they started cutting out, like you'd hear the first 1/10 of a second of the sound, then it would stop.

Luckily there was a firmware update, and I think after the update, the base station was rebooted. Since then it's been fine.

My base station has yet to make a sound.  All volume settings are on "high".  I've followed the instructions to reboot the base, with no success.  I've now called SimpliSafe customer service twice, and been cutoff (phone goes dead without a response) both times.  I'm beginning to become concerned with customer service.  After all the work to set up, I'd hate to have to send everything back.

^ Unfortunately, you have to keep trying to reach them - they won't respond in the forums.  Try calling at 9 am (ET) when they open, and pressing #1 for sales.
