SimpliSafe App

AppLock 4 digit code is the only way to secure the app. Fingerprint functionality is not currently supported for iOS or Android.  SS, would be a nice option.  Lee, Johnny M?

On iOS, if you have Applock enabled, you can unlock either using your Applock PIN, or by using TouchID. Unfortunately there is no equivalent function for Android users just yet.

I have version 2.14.2 (updated 5/3/18) of the SimpliSafe app on my Galaxy S8 running Android 8.0.0. I do not see anywhere to set 4 digit lock code. Do I need interactive rather than just monitored for it to be a visible option?

After logging into the app, tap the ‚ò∞ Menu icon on the top left, then your Email Address, to find the Configure App Lock option.

@WS729 you do need the 24.99 interactive plan to use the phone app.  Recommend you do upgrade to try it, even if for one month. it is quite the bargain when you consider what you get:

Indoor cameras (up to 4 included for video services)
SMS, Email alerts aka Secret Alerts

My former boss just kicked ADT to the curb after paying them 60 bucks a month for a lot less.  Best part ADT offered to lower it to 40;  they said no.

If you don't think its worth the extra 10 bucks, call SS, provide your safe word and ask to be dropped back to the 14.99 plan.

Johnny, thanks for the information. I found it. I only looked under Settings - didn't think to look under my email address.

Captain, I use the app with the monitoring-only plan for reviewing the timeline and checking (not changing) the system status. I switched from Xfinity security system 16 months ago, and figured the breakeven point of buying the hardware was 13 months going from $40/month to $15/month. I am now coming out ahead of if I had stayed with them. I went from 3 door/window sensors to 7, 0 glass break sensors to 1, 1 camera to 0, and 0 sirens to 1. I switch to interactive each time we're traveling which is rare.
