Why does the Base Station Beep?
Our base station beeps several times when arming or disarming the system. This just started happening within the last 3 or 4 days. Why does it beep and how do we stop it?

As stated above, the SimpliSafe Original Extra Siren will let you know if the batteries are low by beeping about 10 times when you arm or disarm your system.
To replace the batteries, just remove the back with a screwdriver and replace the batteries (four AA Alkaline 1.5V). Once you have replaced the batteries, you will need to resync it to your system.

This is and old post but I just recovered from "Beeping Base Station Syndrome" and want to share my experience:
I installed (added) two smoke detectors and two CO detectors. After this I set the keypad to OFF and my base station started to beep. 4 short beeps every 5-6 seconds and this did not stop until I went into one of the "Monitor" mode functions. Switching back to OFF or HOME started the endless base station beeping. This beeping was most definitely from the base station speaker and NOT from the CO or Smoke detectors and I don't have an extra siren.
I called SS and the tech guided me through several potential fixes (base reset, new base station batteries, etc). He also had me remove and add the last CO detector that I installed to no avail. I don't know why we didn't think to remove and add BOTH CO detectors but I tried this afterwards and it worked! No more beeping and my system behaves normally.
