Cannot reset PW on camera DVR

My original camera DVR for our SimpliSafe system became inoperable so I purchased a new recorder from SimpliSafe that works very well but I cannot reset the PW to be able to review camera recordings. Have not been able to get an easy solution from Tech Support. Does anyone know an easy way to reset the PW for the DVR recorder?
