Keypad Batteries

I'm sure this has been posted many times. I'm having the ubiquitous keypad battery problem. Alkaline batteries last 2 to 3 weeks. Now the original rechargeable batteries from the factory lasted well over a year. I didn't keep them or try to recharge them unfortunately.

Is anyone having luck with a particular type of battery and/or manufacturer? I tried lithium batteries but they freaked out the keypad and caused alarms. When I tested them, I discovered that they put out in excess of 1.5v, so I assume the electronics in the keypad are picky. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Jack

I use plain ol' Duracell alkaline.

As you've probably already seen, there are several reports of the keypads burning up batteries within a week or so - this might indicate a defective keypad - call SS to troubleshoot/replace it.
