SimpleSafe doorbell will NOT stop ringing.

Installed my SimpliSafe doorbell, works great, except when doorbell button is pressed the doorbell will NOT stop ringing. Do I need a new/different doorbell? Please help.

This sounds like a voltage issue that can be solved by the Chime Connector. Learn more about it here.

Has there been serious discussion around either a) including a chime connector with every doorbell or b) including a high visibility piece of paper explaining what the chime_connector is, what symptoms it can address and how to ask for it? I get that a) isn't ideal for a number of reasons but b) can't be that difficult to implement.

@worthing​ I'm not aware of any conversation like that. Most folks don't need the Chime Connector, which is why we left it out (to simplify the install process). But you're right, we really need to call out the Chime Connector more in our install documentation.

I finally called SimpliSafe customer service, who said the best solution was to replace my digital door bell system with an analog/mechanical door bell system. Thus, I replaced my old digital door bell with an Utilitech wired (2 chimes) doorbell kit, and this seems to be working well so far with my new SimpliSafe dorobell.

@MRK​ Ah! Apologies for not checking that. Yes, the Video Doorbell Pro is not compatible with digital doorbells.
