have camera record while not armed

Is there a way to set the camera so that it records when it detects motion (even when the alarm is NOT armed)?

Thanks in advance!

@christophertusa yes there is and its easy.  Go to your phone app, cameras, and tap on the gear icon in the upper left.  Pick the camera you want and turn on motion sensor in the camera (for simplicam). You can set different sensitivities but when it detects motion it will record. Note that this will be on all of the time so will record if you have the privacy guard up, regardless that mode the system is in and, if motion is detected, will not set off the alarm.

Hope tis helps.

It's important to know that the camera's Motion Sensor is bound to the shutter state. That is, if your camera's shutter is open, it will be able to trigger from Motion events.

If your camera is paired with a security system, you can also set the camera shutter to be open depending on the system's state. In that case, you'll want to make sure that the shutter for that camera is open in Off Mode.
