What are my options for selling my system?

I purchased a SimpliSafe system (SSCS2) about 6 and a half years ago, along with 6 extra sensors (SSES1), 2 smoke detectors (SSSD1), and 2 carbon monoxide sensors (SSCO1). I never used any of it. I never activated my service. I think I may have opened the box it was shipped in, and that's about it. Considering it's age, is it still worth anything? If so, what would be a reasonable asking price for everything? Is there anything I need to do to "transfer," or would I simply mail everything to the buyer and be done with it?

You will probably want to check all the batteries to make sure they are still good.  In particular, the rechargeable batteries in the base which may have discharged to 0 and stayed there for a while, which could have damaged them.  You should also test every component to make sure it was not defective when shipped (since nothing is still under warranty).

After you've done all that, it is worth "not much".  I'm thinking in the $50 to $100 range.  You might get a better idea by building the equivalent SS3 system on the site to get a starting value, then decrease for "used", "no warranty" and "downlevel system", at least 75% off.

If it has not yet sold in eBay, then the price is not a reliable one.  Go down the left side looking for "Show Only" and click on "Sold Items".  that will tell you what they actually have gone for.
